Payroll

Online payroll software for Suriname

tax.sr is online payroll software built for Surinamese payroll. Run payroll for your entire organisation in a single pay run, with wage tax, AOV and the flat-rate deduction in line with current legislation. Hours from time attendance go straight in, and payslips, tax returns and journal entries are ready in a few clicks.

Always in line with Surinamese legislation

Tax brackets, the tax-free allowance, the flat-rate deduction, the AOV contribution and the rates for overtime and special payments are kept up to date for you. When rates change, as they did on 1 January 2026, tax.sr uses the new rules from the new period onwards. We have used the same calculation rules for more than 5 years in our free wage tax calculator, which handles more than 3,000 calculations every month.

From hours to payslip in one pay run

Set up pay components such as allowances, additions and deductions once and link them per employee. Hours and overtime from time attendance or the kiosk go straight into the pay run. You check the result, calculate and finalise the period.

FVO and APF pension withheld automatically

The FVO contribution and the APF pension contribution are pay components you link once. From then on they are withheld from the wage automatically in every pay run, just like wage tax and AOV.

Tax returns that meet tax authority requirements

The wage tax return and the annual wage statement (verzamelloonstaat) meet the requirements and mandatory fields of the tax authority. After every pay run, all reports your accountant and the tax authority need are ready:

  • Wage tax return with wages paid, wage tax and AOV
  • Annual wage statement per employee
  • Payslips per employee, also in the employee app
  • Payroll journal and totals per period
  • Journal entry per general ledger account, with a posting breakdown

Custom bank files and integrations

We build bank payment files and FVO and APF reports to order, in the format your bank or fund requires, and integrate them into your pay run.

Payroll, HRM and time attendance in one system

Employee records, contracts, leave and absence live in the same system as your payroll. Nothing needs to be copied between programs, and a change to an employee record shows up in the next pay run straight away.

Secure and GDPR compliant

All data is stored encrypted with 256-bit AES encryption. An audit log shows who changed or opened what, and user roles control who can access which data.

Transparent pricing

You pay per payslip: $3.50 for up to 50 payslips, $3.00 for up to 150 and $2.50 for up to 250 payslips per month. Larger organisations get custom pricing. Only need the odd payslip? The free calculator lets you make up to 5 payslips per month.
